The Santa Clarita Public Library is pleased to offer modified passport services in adherence to public health and physical distancing requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to returning to full-service levels, but in the meantime will be operating under the following limitations.

  • Photo services are currently unavailable. Therefore, you must come to the appointment already equipped with an acceptable photo (view guidance on acceptable passport photos).
  • Accepting check payments only (made payable to the City of Santa Clarita) for the $35 passport execution fee.
  • The U.S. Department of State is unable to meet the usual processing time of 6-8 weeks for routine service. Customers should expect significant delays beyond the time period it normally takes to receive their passport.
  • Patrons are required to: wear a face covering, maintain social distancing, be prepared with the required documentation, and cancel appointments if feeling ill.

We appreciate your attention to these temporary service modifications and look forward to serving you.
