The month of June is the start of summer, but it is also Pride Month. If you stop by Old Town Newhall Library, check out one of the books on display for Pride month. If you don’t feel comfortable coming into the library, we have eBooks and audiobooks that can be checked out using a phone or computer. Content is available for all ages. Also, you can stream films with your library card. Read more to find your next read or movie!
Are you looking for your next read? The Old Town Newhall Library has several fiction books with characters and authors who are part of the LGBTQIA community. You will find several displays throughout the library. If you want to learn more about the book before checking out the display, click on the link. Once you see a title you may like, click on Check Our Catalog. This will take you to our library catalog. The catalog will display the different formats available. Some titles will have large prints, disc audiobooks, and other formats.
eBooks & Audiobooks – Overdrive Collection
Don’t have time to read or stop by the library? If you don’t have time to come to the library, you can always access our digital collection using your library card. You can read, watch or listen to our digital content. If you don’t have time to read, I recommend listing to audiobooks when you are cleaning, working out, jogging, and any time you can find yourself busy. I like to listen to audiobooks when I am driving or on my lunch break.
For June the public services department has curated a list of books that celebrate Pride month. The curated list has over 400 titles to choose from for all ages. Since the curated list may be overwhelming, I recommend you filter by subject.
