Welcome!
We are so glad you choose to visit your City of Santa Clarita Public Library. Our goal is to provide you and your family with excellent customer service and make sure your library experience, both online and in the three branches, meets all of your expectations.
The City of Santa Clarita Public Library is comprised of three branches: Canyon Country, Newhall and Valencia. Each library has its own branch manager and an educated and enthusiastic staff who seek to provide our community with the highest level of library service and materials.
Your City Council currently serves as the Library Board of Trustees. We brought on LSSI, a nationally-recognized professional library management company to provide the day-to-day services of the libraries. Together, we will continue to work hard to build a top-notch public library system that serves your needs.
We are well under construction for a new and larger library in Old Town Newhall. The new, state-of-the-art, 30,000 sq. ft. library will replace the existing 5,000 sq. ft. library, and include a children’s library, teen room, dozens of public use computers, a fireplace reading room, community meeting areas, outdoor courtyard and much more. Look for the grand opening of this new and larger library in mid 2012. You can watch the construction of the library via our “library web cam” at: www.santaclaritalibrary.com.
It is important to us that you are involved with our libraries. You can become a volunteer, join the Friends of the Library group or start your own book club through any of the City’s library branches.
