Resource Sharing and Delivery Services

Your Santa Clarita Public Library card provides you with access to approximately 335,000 items in the branches of the Santa Clarita Public Library, and nearly four million items in over 70 libraries in the Inland Library Network. Through a cooperative arrangement and daily delivery service, these items can be searched via the Santa Clarita Public Library catalog, holds placed and items received here in Santa Clarita within a few days.

Search the catalog for the books or other library materials you need. When you locate an item you want to borrow select “Place Hold” on the left side of the record. You will be prompted to enter your library card number and PIN and which library you would like the item sent to. You can specify Santa Clarita Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Library, Santa Clarita Newhall or Santa Clarita Valencia.

The item you want will be pulled by library staff and shipped to your selected pick-up location. If the item is on the shelf in a Santa Clarita Public Library branch, it will arrive from that library in a day or two. If it is in a library in the Inland Library Network and on the shelf, it should arrive in approximately 5-8 days or sooner.
